Susan Lang, a cherished soul who graced the world with her warmth and compassion, passed away on December 19, 2024, in Langhorne, Pennsylvania. Born on August 19, 1940, in the serene landscapes of Lansdown, PA, Susan dedicated her life to serving others as a nurse and office manager at Abington Hospital. Her steadfast commitment to healthcare reflected her nurturing spirit, earning her the respect and admiration of her colleagues and patients alike.
Beyond the confines of her professional life, Susan was an avid reader, often found lost within the pages of a book, each story igniting her imagination and filling her heart with joy. Her passion for storytelling extended into her own creations, as she became a respected author of romance novels, crafting over five published books that touched the hearts of many. Her literary contributions were a testament to her creativity and deep understanding of love in its many forms.
In the quiet moments of her life, Susan’s love for animals blossomed into a beautiful bond, especially with her beloved dogs who filled her days with joy and companionship. Watching television was another cherished leisure of hers, where she would immerse herself in different worlds, laughing and crying alongside the characters she grew to adore.
She leaves behind her devoted husband, Charles Jay Lang, her loving brother, Jim Chatfield, and her stepson, Adam Lang. Together, they remember her as a beacon of kindness, a storyteller, and a confidante.
As we reflect upon her life, we celebrate a woman whose heart was as boundless as her imagination. Susan Lang may have departed from this earth, but the love she bestowed and the stories she shared will remain eternally woven into the tapestry of those who knew her. A brilliant light has been dimmed, yet her spirit will forever resonate through the pages of her stories and the hearts of her family.
Her services, as well as her interment in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family, entrusted to the care of the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel of Morrisville, PA
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider making a memorial contribution, in Susan’s name, to the Wounded Warrior Project, www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
