Thomas John Mcnally

Thomas John McNally, age 51, a sixteen year resident of Batavia, IL, passed away peacefully at his home in Newtown, PA on Saturday, September 28, 2013, with his family by his side. Born in Des Moines, IA, Tom lived in Batavia for 16 years before moving to Newtown, PA in January.Tom was employed by TD Bank as an accountant. He was devoted to both his family and his work. Mr. McNally was a parishioner at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church in Batavia, IL, where he was a CCD instructor. A former marathon runner, he was a supporter of the Army Athletic Association, Marmion Academy and Abbey, and a member of the West Point Parents Club.Son of the late Thomas E. and Dorothy (Rivasi) McNally, he will be sadly missed by his loving wife Catherine (Michelini) McNally, son Zachary McNally, daughter Katie McNally, sister Cathy Erickson of Seneca, IL, and several nieces and nephews.Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at 4 PM at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, 2300 Main St., Batavia, IL 60510. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family at the Ladd Cemetery, Ladd, IL. There will be no calling hours prior to the memorial mass, however, friends are welcome to join the family for dinner following the mass at the home of John and Jane Freiburger, 831 Alberosky Way, Batavia, IL 60510, from 5-8 PM.In lieu of flowers, donations are being accepted to the Thomas McNally Memorial Fund at First Community Financial Bank of 24 West Gardner Road, Suite 104, Naperville, IL 60540 (checks made out to the Thomas McNally Memorial Fund).Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, Morrisville, PA (www.hooperfuneralchapel.com).
