Thomas Walter Straszynski, age 76 of Langhorne, PA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Morrisville, PA, Mr. Straszynski lived in Lawrenceville, NJ before moving to Langhorne 42 years ago. He was a graduate of Morrisville High School and earned his bachelor’s degree from Franciscan University of Steubenville in Ohio. Through a varied career, his proudest accomplishments included owning and running the famous and popular Franklin Grocery Deli in Lawrenceville, NJ, a place where everyone felt welcome. He was an avid Eagles and Phillies fan, but most of all enjoyed spending time with his family and high school friends.
Son of the late Vincent and Helen (Krysa) Straszynski, he is survived by his loving wife Susan (Zapf) Straszynski, a son and daughter-in-law Daniel and Courtney Straszynski of Lancaster, PA and a daughter and son-in-law Sara and Michael Plunkett of Collingswood, NJ, a sister Dorothy Politi of Morrisville, a brother and sister-in-law Vincent and Rose Straszynski of Mooresville, N.C., a grandchild Marta Straszynski, many nieces and nephews and his beloved dogs and cats.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather on October 27, 2023 between 5pm and 7pm at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA 19067. A celebration of life will be held on October 28, 2023 at 12 pm at The Green Parrot Restaurant 240 N. Sycamore St, Newtown, PA 18940.
