Timothy J. Klarich passed away peacefully at his home in Yardley, Pennsylvania on December 2, 2024.
Tim was born in Philadelphia to the late Stephen and late Agnes Klarich, and was a lifelong resident of Pennsylvania. He was a graduate of St. Joseph Prep (’71) and Saint Joseph’s College (’75). Tim earned his MBA from Drexel University in 1985, underscoring his dedication to learning and professional development. His relentless pursuit of knowledge was only matched by his deep passion for family and friends. Tim was known for his ever-present smile and great sense of humor. Tim began his professional career as a CPA with Arthur Andersen & Co. and most recently served as the Chief Financial Officer of the People’s Emergency Center (currently HopePHL), showcasing his commitment to financial integrity and community service until his retirement. An avid traveler, Tim loved making memories with his family, especially during trips both within the U.S. and abroad. Tim enjoyed watching all Philadelphia sports teams and SJU basketball. He loved spending time with family in Ocean City, NJ. Tim enjoyed meeting with his Spiritual Exercise group and attending an annual retreat at the Malvern Retreat House. He was a faithful parishioner of St. Matthew Parish in Philadelphia, PA for many years and of St. John the Evangelist Parish since moving to Yardley.
Tim's most cherished role was that of a devoted family man. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Kathleen, and their children: Stephen (Jill), Mary Kate, Maureen, Tim (Annie), Brian (Meghan), Brigid Redmond (Danny), and Caitlin. He will be fondly remembered by his eight grandchildren: Grace, Carson, Timmy, Cooper, Maeve, Luka, Liam, and Maia, whom he adored deeply. Tim is also survived by his siblings: Bernadette Quinn (John), Stephen (Theresa), and Sister Kathleen Klarich, RSM, his brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and many good friends.
A visitation will be held on December 10, 2024, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel located at 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA 19067. Following the visitation, a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at Saint John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, located at 752 Big Oak Road, Morrisville, PA 19067. Entombment to follow at All Saints Cemetery Mausoleum, 291 Durham Road Newtown, PA 18940. Tim’s legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering commitment to his family and community will live on in the hearts of all he touched. He will be greatly missed but lovingly remembered.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sisters of Mercy of the Americas, 515 Montgomery Avenue, Merion Station, PA 19066 or to Magee Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation at Magee Rehabilitation Hospital – Jefferson Health, 1513 Race Street, Philadelphia, PA 19102.
