Trevell Vonross Morgan, age 34.
We lost an extraordinary man & gained an angel.
A proud Jamaican from Kingston - raised & widely known in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Beloved eldest son to both Colin & Michelle.
Older brother to (late) Shavaughn, Lemmeco, Nico, Lemarra, Ta’Janeh, Kavell, & Rha’Deajah.
Devoted father to Aubrey, Chloe, Tyson, Riley, Nathan, & Adelyn. Loving life-partner to Sandra.
Cherished nephew, uncle, cousin, & friend. Trevell was redesigned to be their guardian angel.
Described by his children as strong, brave, protective, good-looking, inspirational, kind, caring, hard-working, perfect, & a believer in everything & God. In the physical from, Trevell provided his children with a love, a strength, & a protection that exceeded even the size of his body. We now recognize Trevell has taken on a new form that surpasses all earthly limits of the love, strength, & protection he will bestow upon them. We know this to be true because this is who Trevell is.
Trevell will be deeply missed by his parents. The love he & his mother, Michelle had for eachother was unconditional. He was known for his big bear hugs that lifted her off of the ground each time. Every hug felt powerful & significant. It was never a secret that he was a momma’s boy. Trevell’s father, Colin exemplified what it means to be a man. Trevell inherited & learned from his father what it takes to not only be a man, but a good one. Through love & support, he would never let Trevell overlook his own potential. Trevell was grateful to have a cool dad.
Trevell was proud to be in recovery. Proud he could instill hope in others. His passion was to help any one, at any time, with any situation. He reciprocated the love shown to him & easily saw the value in every other human-being. He fulfilled his dream of sobriety & using every waking moment to better himself & others. We didn’t recognize the signs that he wasn’t well as he persevered & continued to be the helping-hand, the backbone, the hard-worker, the positive force, & the provider we all saw each day. This is a true testament to his exceptional strength.
Trevell embodied every admirable quality of an authentic Jamaican man. You couldn’t manage to find an obstacle he wouldn’t overcome. He naturally had a way of making you feel seen & appreciated. He brought a special energy with him wherever he would go.
In honor of Trevell, we encourage you to make the most out of each day. Don’t take a moment for granted. Please keep Trevell & his family in prayer & join us for a gathering of his friends & family on Friday, August 16, 2024 from 10-11 AM at Compass Fellowship Church, 50 N.
