Virginia S. (Spencer) Hatfield

Virginia Spencer Hatfield, age 91, of Yardley, Pennsylvania and formerly Brentwood, TN, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2023. Virginia was born in Richmond, VA, spent her youth in West Virginia, and as a military spouse for two decades, resided in six different states. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Lew Hatfield; parents Alice and Jesse Spencer, and her beloved siblings, George Spencer, Charles Spencer, and Dorothy S Christ.

Virginia was married for 55 years and was a devoted homemaker. She was a member of Brentwood United Methodist Church for almost twenty years. While she enjoyed gardening, sewing, bridge, theater, and traveling, her greatest joy was being with her family. She will be greatly missed by her four children and their families; sons Jim (Rebecca S. Hatfield), John (Amy J. Wolf) and daughters Susan and Lou (Larry Jaffe). She is also survived by her three beloved grandchildren, Otis Wolf Hatfield, Laura Hatfield Vanarsdall (Jason), and Rob Hatfield (Chelsey), as well as four wonderful great grandchildren, Ashley Vanarsdall, Lawson Vanarsdall, Pyper Hatfield, and Hudson Hatfield. Virginia is also survived by dear nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving family members.

A celebration of life service for Virginia will be held at the Williamson County Funeral Home 3009 Columbia Avenue, Franklin, TN on Saturday, October 28th at 2 p.m. Burial will follow the service. https://www.williamsonmemorial.com/
