Walter F. Kenny

Walter F. Kenny, age 88, of Morrisville, PA, passed away peacefully, at his home, on Sunday, May 29, 2016. Born in Newark, NJ, Mr. Kenny had lived in Morrisville for the past 56 years.He began working in the steel industry at the age of 18, and was employed as a stevedore with U.S. Steel for over 25 years. Mr. Kenny was an active parishioner at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, where, among other things, he served as an usher and volunteered to count collection. He was also a proud Army Veteran of WWII.Son of the late Peter and Ethel (Duffy) Kenny, father of the late Kathleen (Kenny) McCardell, and father-in-law of the late Debbie (Hoff) Kenny, he is survived by his loving wife Dorothy (Bohnhorst) Kenny, a son David Kenny of Pahrump, NV, and 3 daughters and sons-in-law: Patricia and Hank Kalencki of Charlotte, NC;, Margaret and Paul Golightly of Amherst, VA; and Eileen and Robert Stillman of Lafayette Hill, PA, 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.Calling hours will be held on Tuesday evening, May 31, 2016 from 7-9 PM, and on Wednesday morning from 9:30-10:30 AM at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA.Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate his Funeral Mass on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at 11 AM at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 752 Big Oak Rd., Morrisville, PA.
