Wayne S. Slater

Wayne E. Slater, age 66, of Levittown, PA, died Saturday, July 8, 2017 at his home in Levittown. Born in Philadelphia, he was a lifelong area resident.Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a truck driver. He enjoyed fishing, camping, NASCAR, and wrestling. Mr. Slater was also a huge fan of the Philly sports teams. He loved being with his children.Son of the late Harry and Ellen (Stroup) Slater, and brother of the late Nancy Lobley, he is survived by three daughters and a son, Eileen ( &Ted Eldridge) Slater of Levitttown, Ellen (and Jodie) Mattern of Schuylkill Haven, PA, Heather Slater of Summit Hill, PA, and Wayne Slater of Lehighton, PA, 2 brothers Harry Slater of Bristol, PA and Paul Slater of Morrisville, PA, a sister, Cheryl Slater of Levittown, 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to his graveside service at 2 PM on Friday, July 14, 2017 at Newtown Cemetery, under the direction of the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Deborah Heffernan, interim Associate Pastor of the Morrisville Presbyterian Church will officiate.
