William J. Daily, Jr., age 79, of Morrisville, PA, died Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at his home. A Lifelong resident of the area he was born and raised in Trenton NJ where he attended St John's elementary school and Graduated in 1952 from Trenton Catholic Boys High School. He attended Trenton Junior College for 2 years, studying architectural drafting, before joining the Army. He was a proud Army Veteran, serving in the signal corps in Okinawa, Japan. He moved to Morrisville Pennsylvania 60 years ago to raise his family. He retried in 1995 after working 43 years for Western Electric and Lucent Technologies. He was a telecommunications installer with Western Electric. Upon retiring he worked part time for Marrazzo's Florist and nursery. Bill was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Father Gallagher Council 3673; He became a third degree knight June 2, 1963. He was a parishioner at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, where he served as an usher. The family relationship with Holy Trinity Church goes back several generations to his grandfather, William Hutchinson, who built the original Holy Trinity Church on Washington Street in Morrisville.Bill was an accomplished carpenter and he was an amateur photographer. He loved to travel, especially going to Disney World, Williamsburg, and Niagara Falls. Bill was an avid gardener a passion he shared with his wife, loved camping and enjoyed history. He took great pleasure in decorating his home with lights for Christmas. He was very proud of his Irish heritage, having a dual citizenship in Ireland as well as the United States. He was first generation American as his father was an Irish immigrant in 1908. He was an aspiring genealogist and would accompany his daughter to the Archives in Trenton NJ where they would spend hour's together search microfilms. He is preceded in death by his parents William J. Daily, Sr. and Marie B. Hutchinson Daily, and his brother Deacon Thomas P. Daily and sister in law Theresa Daily. He is survived by his loving wife, his soul mate of 51 years Anita "Pat" (Allen) Daily, two daughters and sons-in-law Amy B. Daily and Kevin J. Peron of Morrisville, PA and Patricia and Ralph Moser of Levittown, one son, two grandsons, Aidan and Owen Daily, and several nieces and nephews and great nephews.Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate his funeral mass at 11 AM on Monday, Feb. 3, 2014 at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, 201 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Morrisville, PA 19067. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.Friends may call Sunday afternoon from 1-3 PM and on Monday from 9:30-10:30 AM at the J.
