William Henry Gutteridge,age 84, of Bensalem, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at his home. Born in Philadelphia, he had lived in Bensalem for over 35 years.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a Stain Technologist and Director of Color Development with Lawrence McFadden Company in Philadelphia for over 50 years. William was a proud Army Veteran. He was a member of the Delaware River Yacht Club, and enjoyed boating, snow skiing and woodworking.
Son of the late Arthur E. and Clarice (Wilkinson) Gutteridge and father of the late William H. Gutteridge, Jr., he is survived by his wife Helen Gutteridge, his daughter Karen Gutteridge of Mars Hill, NC, a sister Carol Koskela of New Jersey, two grandchildren Kathleen Ramos and Elizabeth Samuels, and three great grandchildren Hunter Farr, Georgia Hannigan and Harper Ramos.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his committal service, with military honors, at 8:45 AM on Friday, March 1, 2019 at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd., Newtown, PA 18940.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, www.woundedwarriorproject.org or to the Special Olympics https://give.specialolympics.org/page/contribute/pennsylvania.
