William Henry Ludlow, age 87, of Burlington County, NJ, passed away peacefully at his daughter's home in Bucks County on Tuesday, December 15, 2015. He was born in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia. His later years were spent pursuing his dream of owning and operating a horse farm in Florence and Browns Mills, NJ, before moving to Churchville, PA., 4 years ago.Prior to his retirement, Mr. Ludlow was a self-employed truck driver. He hauled steel for Evans Transportation and was recognized as a Special Hauler by the Fraternal Association of Steel Haulers (F.A.S.H). He was a member of Scottsville United Methodist Church and an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He loved to work with his hands and was proud to have built his own home, barn, and stables. He boarded horses on his farm and took in strays of all kinds and cared for all animals. In his spare time you could find him under the hood of his truck, loader, tractor or car. He could fix anything.Son of the late Edwin and Helen (Allen) Ludlow, he is survived by his son, William Ludlow and wife Lori of Holland, PA, and daughter Holly Lynn Ludlow of Churchville, PA. He is also survived by five grandchildren; Allison, Graham, and Travis Ludlow, Heather Dittman and Nicholas Onofrio, and by two great grandchildren, Calvin and Maria Duffer, along with many nieces and nephews.Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing at 1 PM, followed by the funeral service at 2 PM on Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015, at the North and Southampton Reformed Church, 1380 Bristol Rd., Churchville, PA 18966. The Rev. Bethany Devos will officiate.Relatives and friends are also invited to attend his military ceremony and burial at 9:30 AM, Dec. 21st at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd., Newtown, PA 18940. The Administration office will direct guests to the ceremony location.In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in Mr. Ludlow's name be sent to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O.
